Men's health and social activities

As many retired seafarers living in Mariners’ Park are male, the Nautilus Welfare Fund runs a special programme of events aimed specifically at improving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of men.

The model railway at Mariner's Park Care Home

The men’s health and wellbeing project is a programme of events targeted at male retired seafarers living in and around Mariners’ Park.

It was launched in September 2013 for an initial 12-month period and has been made possible due to funding from the Maritime Charities Funding Group and a partnership with AgeUK Wirral.

Golfing trophy presentation 2017 The Mariners' Park golf league is popular.

Winners in the Age UK Wirral Summer Cup at Mariners' Park. The 'Golf Sixes' is a competition over six holes for six weeks, where the competitor with the lowest score is the winner.

Age UK Wirrall Summer Cup Winner Neil Robertson receives his trophy.

Overall champion was Neil Robertson, with runners up John McDavitt and Joan Lamb who is pictured presenting Neil with his cup. The other participants included Peter Lamb, Geoff Deer, Wilf Broydon and Brian Dobson.


Bibby Line reunion
